I've hit it hard,
I've hit it slow,
but still it doesn't know
where to go..
so I put my chin back in the swing,
so I can hit, this little white thing..
I'll hack away until I get it right
and I can hit it out of sight,
Alas the end of my game as I feared,
best go and have a lesson with 'Ben Beard' !!!

National Skills Challenge

Watch out for Burfords 2011 Champion, Amy Gaertner !!
We held two skills tests for the juniors at the golf club last year. Annabel Nash, Caitlen Shaw, and Amy Gaertner proudly represented Burford for the regional final at Chesfield Downs Golf Club in Hertfordshire on Tuesday 2nd August. Amy won her age group and went on to the Skills Challenge National Final on Saturday 10th September which she also won.
Over 6000 juniors from 700 golf clubs across the UK took part with only 30 players making it through to the National Final.
